Strip out
Background
Lancebox Ltd carried out a full internal strip out (back to shell) and extensive builders works package for Midas Construction at the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commission HQ in Reading.
Scope of works
- Full back to shell strip out over 6500m2 across three floors, removing all partitioning, ceilings, floor coverings and sanitary units
- M & E removal over 3 floors and rooftop plant removal
- External roof coverings removed from flat roofs
- Infilling apertures through walls where previous m & e was situated
- Forming new door openings throughout including installation of concrete lintels
- Robust traffic management plan executed to minimise disruption to surrounding businesses
- Excellent communication between Lancebox and Midas guaranteed the works were completed on time, within a strict 10-week programme and to a highly professional standard
- Lancebox provided waste removal for the project, and recycled all materials where possible. This package integration allowed for a cost saving to the client as Lancebox have a comprehensive fleet of 01.1 roll on/roll off lorries and skips.
